Name: Daniel Hillebrandt
I first became interested in Railways when I was about 1 year old. I lived in a lineside house in Bedhampton and watched the trains go past. Gradually as I got older, the trains got bigger starting with small model railways and growing into the larger scales as a volunteer, such as 2 ft narrow gauge on the East Hayling Light Railway, standard size tank engines on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway and later the largest of them all at the Watercressline. My photographic interest started back in 2002 when I received a digital camera for my 18th. First it was just locomotive profiles, (the loco and details) as my camera didnt allow for much more but has now developed as I bought new cameras and with a lot of practice. I now own a Kodak Z740 and a C360 (the c360 being used as backup or when working) and have started to explore more ways of photographing the trains, such as location and detail and making sure that the sun is behind me (basically learning how to take a better photograph). I am now planning to take an evening course in photography at college this year! If you have any tips you wouldnt mid sharing with me, please use the contact me.
Many Thanks!
